Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration?Hi All,
I have a vague memory of seeing a bathtub curve hazard function demonstration for reliability analysis in JMP similar to figure 2.2 p29 in Meeker and Escobar. I cannot for the life of me figure out where it is. Starting to wonder if I am suffering from hopeful imaginings:) Can someone share or point me to a script or a table that shows well?
Thanks!!
Jason
Re: Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration? What specifically were you looking for? I have a RSS that generates a bathtub curve, for example. The challenge is that you need to deal with multiple distributions (something like a DS for early failures, exponential for random failures, and Weibull for wearout).
Re: Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration? Here's one I developed for a slide in my reparable systems reliability course.
Re: Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration?Doesn't the Hazard Profiler generate the bathtub for you if you fit a competing risk mixture with 2 life distributions, one to capture infant mortality and another to capture end-of-life failures.

Re: Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration? This is perfect, Di! Thank you! Perhaps what I was remembering came from the SAS ed rel class I took years ago or is this a new invention?
Re: Does anyone have a script or table for bathtub curve demonstration?Beats me! It's got a modified date of 2020.
