JMP Store 2.0 is a go!Last week, JMP Store 2.0 was implemented to all US-based customers – and was welcomed with great enthusiasm, which should come as no surprise. Who wouldn’t love reducing the number of checkout steps from 14 to 5?
JMP admins will certainly appreciate these 2.0 features:
- Newly simplified process for adding and managing users.
- Direct access to JMP installer files.
- Downloadable CSV of serial numbers.
- Straightforward renewal management.
- Secure authentication (with no password needed!) via My JMP.
With the new streamlined interface, sales under $7,500 must be ordered through the JMP Store; larger deals can also use the JMP Store if that’s what the customer would like to do. But by funneling the smaller deals through the JMP Store, sales teams will have more time to focus on the larger deals.
The JMP Store team listened closely to the feedback from JMP Store 1.0 users, as well as from JMP Inside Sales reps, and implemented many of their suggestions in this new version. As team lead Falco Kronmüller says, “JMP Store 2.0 drastically reduces the number of support requests, making it a much more customer-friendly process. We expect it to provide a foundation for high-volume sales and global expansion.”
And the improvements don’t end with Store 2.0. In Q3, version 2.1 will be released in the US, which will tie the whole process to JMP First systems.
And when Falco mentioned global expansion, he was referring to JMP Store 2.2.x’s roll out to all of JMP by Q4-Q1, so every region will be able to share the JMP Store with their customers. That means Japan and Germany, France and UK, and everyone in between will be able to share this improved system with all customers.
In the meantime, U.S.-based sales staff, help spread the word. Make sure your global colleagues know how much simpler life is (and sales are) with the new and ever-improving JMP Store. Feel free to share the link (https://store.jmp.com/) with potential U.S. customers and visit it yourself to see what it looks like. (However, don’t create an account or place an order unless you intend to buy JMP!)

Feature StoryRe: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!Do we have control measures/mechanics to detect companies in US/HQ purchasing the license in US, and send to their local offices in other countries? We already have a few customers in SEA, asking us for support locally but when we check the license details/site number, it belongs to US/or other countries entity.
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!To add on to @mattboron set of questions. Process for 3rd party payers?
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!@mattboron I don't know the answer to your questions, but I'll pass them along and let you know. Stay tuned!
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!How is sales credit being determined? Previously, I thought that the person entering the order had to type in the office location of each user and the sales credit was divided by which location the user was in. However, what happens when the person is lazy and just enters the same address for all their users (maybe the company HQ), despite them being located in various states? Sales reps aren't going to want to support users who they don't sales credit for.
What happens if/when the sales team determines that multiple entities of the company are using the software?
What happens if/when the company purchasing the license dolls out a license to someone at a different entity/company? I was told there is no way to limit who the companies send the licenses to once they purchase them. Just recently, we had a company purchase licenses using the store and then sent a license to someone at a different company, with a different email domain. Our system didn't flag or limit this. We still haven't heard back from the person who placed the order when we reached out about this.
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!Congratulations, JMP Store team! This is a tremendous accomplishment, and the new store looks very easy for customers to buy and then use My JMP to administer.
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!@AmyStuart Hi Amy, are there any updates on the questions from @mattboron & @Melisa_Muhd ?
Re: JMP Store 2.0 is a go!@WendyLai I don’t know. The best place to post questions is in the Quote to Cash Teams chat or to check with your manager.
