JMP internships allow students the ability to explore a possible future career, network with professionals in the field, and gain valuable experience they wouldn't get in the classroom. Interns are a valuable resource to JMP as well, helping us invest in our future success by discovering new talent and potential leaders.
The 'Meet the Interns' series display features these bright individuals – their work, their hobbies, and more! If you are an intern that would like to be featured, fill out this form.
Meet the Interns: Haley Yaremych
Manager: Nicole Jones
Haley Yaremych (@Haley_Yaremych) is a student at Vanderbilt University and a returning JMP Graduate Student intern in the Statistical Testing group.
“We are thrilled to have Haley back with us this summer,” Advanced Analytics R&D Director Nicole Jones (@Nicole_Jones) said. “She did an amazing job last summer collaborating with Laura Castro-Schilo on a Moderation and Mediation add-in and then presented on the same topic at Discovery Summit Europe 2023.”
This summer Haley will be applying her expertise in mixed models to evaluate the accuracy and performance of JMP’s new mixed model estimation for large problems in Genomics. “Haley will collaborate with both the statistical development team and the life sciences development team working closely with James Koepfler, Luciano Silva, Chris Gotwalt, and Fang Chen,” Jones said.
Over the next few months, she will review the literature on the applications of these models, evaluate the results of many different models, and conduct performance tests of the platform under various conditions. Her work will help provide important feedback to improve the platform before we introduce it in JMP 18.
Let’s learn a little more about her.
