Hey everyone,
I recently purchased the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 with an Intel Evo processor, and I've been experiencing some frustrating issues with system freezes and crashes. I wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered similar problems or has any insights into resolving this issue.
Here are the details of the problem I've been facing:
System freezes: Randomly, my laptop freezes completely, and I'm unable to do anything. The screen freezes, and even the cursor doesn't move. The only solution is to force a hard reset by holding down the power button.
Random crashes: Occasionally, my laptop crashes and restarts unexpectedly without any warning. This happens even when I'm performing light tasks, such as browsing the web or working on a document.
I've tried a few troubleshooting steps to address the issue, including:
Updating drivers and BIOS: I made sure to update all the drivers and BIOS to the latest versions available on the Lenovo website. However, this didn't resolve the problem.
Running system diagnostics: I ran system diagnostics to check for any hardware issues, but no problems were detected.
Checking for overheating: I monitored the laptop's temperature using software, and it doesn't seem to be overheating before the crashes or freezes occur.
I'm starting to suspect that these issues might be related to the Intel Evo processor in combination with the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10. However, I'm not entirely sure if this is a widespread problem or if it's specific to my laptop.
If any of you have faced similar problems or have any suggestions on how to address these freezes and crashes, I would greatly appreciate your input. Additionally, if you've found any workarounds or solutions to this issue, please share them with the community.
It's disheartening to experience these problems on an otherwise fantastic laptop. I hope we can collectively find a solution and make the most out of our ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 devices.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards,
