Is there way apply user input to filter sql queries in JMP Live?Hi All,
I have a customer at Solidigm that has built an add-in that allows her to specify parameters/filters for SQL queries and subsequent JMP reports. What I could see in the UI is that she can choose file path, date range, report type and a few other things that I did not catch. She is part of a small testing team that is asked to generate reports on some frequency for many technicians who are not JMP users. She is VERY interested in JMP Live as a way free her from these tasks. In order for it to work the way she hopes, there needs to be some way for the technician to input/choose the parameters for the query and reports just as her add-in UI is doing without them using JMP. What ideas do you have for doing this?
Thanks!!
J
Re: Is there way apply user input to filter sql queries in JMP Live?Hi Jason,
there isn't a way to do that at the moment. She would either have to use a local data filter or create different reports for the different subsets the technicians might need.
But we have received a similar wish list request. So, we have it on the roadmap.

Re: Is there way apply user input to filter sql queries in JMP Live?Just a thought: If the number of different reports would allow this effort and data pulling, she could have for the most common data pulls a report using filters the engineers could use to filter down what they want to see in the report, May combined with a column switcher.
So she pulls the data including all parameters they can filter through, put the standard report in JMP Live including data filter (e.g. for time, or specific parameter), and column switcher (if necessary to switch between parameters, eg for different control charts)
It might be lots of data to pull, but might address at least part of what she wants to do.
