Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Hi all,
Bernd Heinen noticed that he has no simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform) when using JMP Pro. JMP Standard has the button.
It is the same for me. Is there a reason for that or is it just a bug/broken?

Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)What simulate button? I looked around and couldn't find a button or a documented feature.
Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Hi Jorden,
I never used it before, but here is a screenshot from Bernd:

With a right click into that table there is a context menu. I tried it again and it seems like you have to hit the right column:

The simulate Button seems to be only visible when right clicking into the estimate column but not when clicking the index column... maybe that was the confusion. Will reach out to him again.

It allows you to do parametric bootstrap, among other things.
Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Might be better to have him contact Tech Support.
Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Yes, I thought Jonas was talking about a button specific to the Process Capability platform. I didn't realize he was referring to the general simulation utility, available from most reports via right-click. I should have been clearer with my original reply!
Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Now I understand. Not a button, but the right-click option for simulation.
Yes, capability indices cannot be bootstrapped or simulated, JMP or JMP Pro. It's because the underlying JMP code for bootstrapping and simulating uses the "Freq" role, which is not permitted for capability indices. I reported this to tech support earlier, there is an existing JIRA. https://jmpdiscovery.atlassian.net/browse/JMP-14426
Edited: Simulation appears to be available in both JMP and JMP Pro 17.1 for Overall Sigma Capability. Bootstrapping is not.
Re: Simulate button in overall sigma capability summery report (Process capability platform)Sounds like the best solution if they have any issues accessing features. And I should have described the issues clearer, sorry Jordan.
Good to know that this should be available in both versions.
Many thanks @all
