Format preferences question

Customer asks if it's possible to change the format of numerical values presented in a JMP report through JMP's preferences (ex. change model reports to show only 3 decimal places). I know each individual report can be formatted, but this is tedious to change each time and I am not able to see a preference setting for this, but does anyone know if this is possible?
