‘JMP in 2 minutes’ is the 2023 update to the ‘JMP in 60 seconds’ video that aims to be a technical trailer for quickly showing off the magic of analyzing and graphing data in JMP.
“As we all know, JMP is highly visual and interactive, so rarely do static images of JMP output do it justice,” Research and Development Director Julian Parris (@jules) said. “In ‘JMP in 2 minutes,’ I try to put on display not just the breadth of analytic capabilities in JMP but also the feeling of analyzing and graphing data in such a visual, interactive environment.”
Julian says we have Curt Hinrichs (@curt_hinrichs) to thank for the original ‘JMP in 60 seconds' video. “In 2015, I made the first version of “JMP in 60 seconds” on a whim, at a Marriott hotel in NYC, with a Lavalier mic surrounded by pillows for better sound,” he said. “Curt and I were exhibiting at an academic conference, and Curt asked if I could quickly put something together to show on the monitors at our booth. An hour later, ‘JMP in 60 seconds’ was playing on a loop at our booth. The video turned out to be highly effective at showing off the magic of JMP, so once home I recorded two versions of it in my home studio, one for the academic audience, and one for a general audience.”
