The singularity details provided in Fit Model when there's a linear dependency are difficult to interpret, and don't offer an explanation on how to resolve the issue. I've yet to encounter a JMP user who knows how to decipher that mathematical string of details shown for an ill-conditioned model (see example attached image). When experienced JMP users see that message their current behavior is to completely ignore the details provided and simply return to the model dialog where they can begin arbitrarily removing effects from the model until the issue is resolved. Although the experienced user has found a workaround, a new user will be engulfed in sheer frustration as they attempt to make sense of the message being communicated to them in the model details. If we could provide an explanation in "plain English" and include some suggested next steps as mentioned in the usage note below I believe we could improve the experience and avoid the misinterpretation of results for many users leveraging JMP's Fit Model platform.
