homework questions?I really like @Victor_G approach to answering the homework questions. Without calling them out--it might be a legitimate customer question. If someone edits the title, it becomes a google-able answer.

Re: homework questions?Thanks @Craige_Hales !
This type of question may be related to homework question, but I'm not 100% sure, as you write, it could also be a legitimate question.
I have far more doubts on this type of topics (already spotted by @txnelson and fja) (there are 5 topics with the same title from the same user, with different scenarii...) :

Here it seems more clear that these could be homework assignments, so the key is not to "close the door" and close the discussion, but instead of giving a direct solution, try to understand if there are difficulties in the understanding, and help/support the learning.
Entirely agree on editing the title but who/when should do it ? The user, or us (super users) ? When, as soon as we read the post, or once a solution or explanations have been given ?
Looking forward to having your thoughts on this type of topics,
Re: homework questions?Editing titles is hard; I've done one recently: Ctrl+F - find and replace in a formula column . It was easy to leave the original title and add more info because the original was short and somewhat on target. Titles like What don't serve much purpose except for the original poster; replacing it completely seems OK.
I think a domain expert (you, probably) is the right person because I'd just blindly copy the question into the title. The time you invested in the answer makes the thread yours at this point, so I think no one should complain. Maybe this is part of a continuing discussion about great question titles.
- How can I make ...
- Where can I find ...
- What do I need to ...
This title might become Where can I find a d-optimal overview for example.
