What is a “categorical” platform?
In JMP, from the menu bar, go to Analysis > Consumer Research. [Categorical] There is a menu called.
The word “categorical” alone gives you an idea of what it means to analyze qualitative data. It is true that I am good at handling categorical data, but in fact It has many useful functions for collecting and analyzing questionnaire data.

Webinars related to April may be implemented, and about the function overview of "categorical" , I made a video called "A 'categorical' platform that can be understood in 2 minutes".It gives an example of analyzing a questionnaire and briefly summarizes what points are important.(Video time: 2 minute 9 seconds)
In the video above, the two characteristics of "categorical" are:
Point 1: By using "categorical", you can collect and analyze various selection-type response formats (single response, multiple responses, etc.) at once.
Point 2: In "Categorical", you can specify [X, grouping category], divide it into groups such as attributes, and aggregate and statistically analyze it.
"Categorical" blogs and related seminars
This blog series will be divided into three parts from the next time, and I will introduce the above points and useful functions for survey analysis.
Future blogs (scheduled for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of April)
Part 1: Single-answer, multiple-answer, and scored responses -- let's count them all together
Part 2: From Aggregation to Analysis! - Statistical comparison of response distributions between attributes -
Part 3: Don't worry about any multiple response data! - Aggregation and analysis of multiple response data -
As mentioned above, we will hold a webinar on the analysis of consumer survey data. You can participate for free, so if you are interested, please consider participating.
