Data named incorrectly when imported using Excel add-in

Hello,

I'm having an issue with the JMP Excel add-in.

When using the JMP Excel add-in to import data, I'm noticing that the newly created JMP file is named incorrectly. The new file name doesn't match the file name the data was imported from. Instead, the new file name comes from an old dataset that I've previously closed.

For example, a few days ago I used the Excel add-in to import data from a file called "old_data.xlsx". Today when I go to import data from a different file, "new_data.xlsx", the newly created JMP file is being called "old_data_Sheet1.jmp". I thought that it would be named "new_data_Sheet1.jmp".

What can I do to fix this?

Did you click the Preferences button on the JMP ribbon and change the data table name? The preferences are retained from a previous use until you reset or change them.
