Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderDoes anyone know how to change the format of the Limit Summaries in the Control Chart Builder?
-Right-clicking ..Customize gets me close, but while I can change the font, I can't change the format.
-Scripting the report layer seems to "bottom out" for me, in that I'm not finding a way to access the Limit Summaries.
Any help? A customer is asking.
Screenshot and sample table attached.

Re: Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderDouble-click on the values in the Limits Summaries and a dialog appears. You can save a script from the platform menu that includes the change to the format.
Control Chart Builder(
Variables( Y( :Weight ) ),
Show Control Panel( 0 ),
SendToReport(
Dispatch(
{"Weight Limit Summaries"},
"Avg",
NumberColBox,
{Set Format( "Best", 8 )}
)
)
);Re: Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderHi Mark,
Thanks for this. Unfortunately, while I mistakenly asked for the ability to change the format of the Limit Summaries (which you provided), what I really need is the ability to change the Limit Labels, and I'm still stuck.

Anyone have a way to modify the Limit Label formatting? Or even to address them programmatically? I've tried the script below and some variations.
Control Chart Builder(
Show Limit Labels( 1 ),
Show Limit Summaries( 0 ),
Variables( Y( :Y ) ),
Show Control Panel( 0 ),
SendToReport(
Dispatch(
{"Limit Labels"},
"UCL", //tried skipping this and other variations
{Set Format( Format(Fixed, 7, 3 ))}
)
)
)
edit: and here's what I'm seeing when I try to drill down in the Properties browser--the FrameBox with the graph doesn't seem to have any children:

Re: Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderYou can customize the font and font color by right-clicking on the chart and selecting Customize:

I think the labels are added as label segments to the frame box. This script allows you to probe them.
Names Default to Here( 1 );
dt = Open( "$sample_data/Big Class.jmp" );
ccb = dt << Control Chart Builder(
Variables( Y( :height ) ),
Show Limit Labels( 1 ),
Show Control Panel( 0 )
);
rpt = ccb << Report;
label = rpt[FrameBox(1)] << Find Segs;
label[6] << Get Base Font;
I think the number format is not changeable. I hoped I could get the value, convert it to a number, then use the Char() function or a format function to what I want, and then set the new value.
Re: Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderThanks, Mark!
Also, I didn't know about << Find Segs. That's useful!

Re: Change Limit Summary Formatting in Control Chart BuilderThe graphics segments are unfortunately not documented well. They are a significant enhancement over many of the original graphics functions.
