OSIsoft connection issueHello,
I Copy/paste customer question below:
When trying to connect via: File > Database > Import from OSIsoft PI server I end up here:
but we always get this error in the end:

The questions would be, Is the format of the URL wrong? ( e.g. do we need a trailing / ? ).
Any thoughts ?
Re: OSIsoft connection issueHi Bryan,
He just gave a try:
.. However, if I try the link in a browser, I do obtain such an interface (screenshot below).
A difference in the screenshots is in the presence of “Omf” in yours – could this be part of the problem?

Re: OSIsoft connection issueI think the server isn't configured correctly.
That error means that JMP expects a response from the Root URL that specifies any of the following:
- System
- Self
- AssetServers
- DataServers
- Omf
- Search
In other words, if you put the root URL in a browser, the response should looks something like this:

Re: OSIsoft connection issueYes, OMF is required, too.

Let me edit my original response.
Re: OSIsoft connection issueHello Bryan,
first I want to thank you for the help.
Any requirement in term of OSISoft version ?
For info – snapshot from current JSR Micro NV WebAPI version

Re: OSIsoft connection issueLooks like the Rest interface came online around 2014.
https://docs.aveva.com/en-US/bundle/pi-web-api-reference/page/help/changelog/pi-web-api.html
There's no real requirement on the OSIPi version since the integration is REST based.
They might want to contact OSIPi/Avena or administrator for the OMF information. It might need to be installed and/or enabled.
It does need to be there.
Re: OSIsoft connection issueHello Bryan,
we met the customer last week and with the OMF it works now. Thank you for the great help.

Re: OSIsoft connection issueYou bet
Re: OSIsoft connection issueHad a customer ask why OMF is required for a data pull? They said most of their PI data does have OMF, but some does not.
