Can JMP, ideally JMP Genomics, run on Hadoop? Has anybody have experience with it?

Re: Can JMP (Genomics) run on Hadoop?Just to add onto Dan's reply, as far as JMP Genomics goes, they're not going to be on 12.2 till at the earliest next April. I would expect they'd have the same abilities to connect at that point as JMP does, but I don't think that's been tested at all. wenjun.bao@jmp.com

stanley.koprowski1 and I have tested out accessing data in a Hadoop cluster (Cloudera and Hortonworks) and have been successful via Hive and Impala in 12.2 and 13. We are currently testing a MapR cluster.
note JMP will not run on an "edge node" of a cluster; JMP is a desktop product.
But if a customer has data in Hadoop, you can use the Query Builder to access with ODBC (either with Hive or Impala).
