What inspired this Wish List Request?
New JMP Live customers and recent prospective customers have inquired about the ability to publish a report to JMP Live (say for Fit Y by X) and then allow users to upload data that could be run against the script for that report, displaying the result as the regenerated HTML5 report, but not overwriting the original data set on the server.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Add the ability for a user to provide a new data set to a report from in the JMP Live webpage. The feature would check the saved script used to regenerate the report for column dependencies, check that user provided data table for the dependencies and provide a GUI to map anything missing (similar to what is done with Workflow Builder and Application Builder).
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The customers requested a method to put a standard analysis report on a dashboard as a tool for others to reuse.
Is this an external customer request?
Wolfspeed (Luci Sheridan) recently. Historically, I can recall this being asked for by Regeneron. Both are strategic accounts
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
This dances around capabilities in R-Shiny and Minitab's cloud offering.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Customers with standardized workflows generally like to have a single source of truth for analyses. Supporting these to some level in Live will support adoption of Live at these accounts.
