Meet Richard Smith (
@RS2). Richard has 10 years of experience in sales and account management in the technology industry. This started with high-velocity sales in the software and DCI space for a large UK reseller, which turned into delivering business-focused multi-vendor solutions to a number of mid-market clients, then working permanently on-site with an enterprise financial services client delivering a software asset management service.
Since then, he moved into the professional services sector, with his most recent role looking after financial services clients at a specialist IT consultancy that hires people from non-traditional backgrounds, trains them in contemporary technology skills, and deploys them into digital projects across clients in various industries. Clients were able to convert consultants into permanent members of staff after a deployment cycle, meaning you could contribute to people’s careers, which was incredibly rewarding for Richard.
Outside of work, he is an avid sports fan, having played and watched cricket around the world, and follows Tottenham Hotspur FC (he understands he often loses the crowd with this one!). He also likes to run and plays golf.
Originally from Essex, he now lives in Southwest London with his partner. They enjoy traveling and go to almost any tapas restaurant they can find.
