Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback
How JMP supports analytic growth in organizations
One big push for this year is to create a framework around how JMP enables customers to build strong analytic cultures within their organization. We want your help and ideas on how best to build a strong framework of success.
We are now in the process of building out the Analytics Advocate Guide which is meant to serve as a roadmap for our champions advocates – to provide the key steps in driving analytic adoption, to paint the picture of what analytic excellence looks like, and how JMP can support advocates and organizations along the way.
As we all know, JMP has a strong reputation for loving on our customers and offers a huge amount of resources. So when creating the Analytics Advocate Guide we pulled what we considered to be the best resources that support analytic growth.
When thinking about how JMP supports analytic growth, here's what we would like to know:
- What messaging/resources are missing in the guide?
- What resources do you share with customers that could apply?
- What resources have you seen elsewhere that we should consider creating?
- What other resources should we develop (could be something public or something is only offered to specific customers)?
Please share ideas and feedback by posting a comment below or emailing Sara Doudt by November 15, 2021.
Items currently in the works:
- Analytic stage survey and assessment – where are you in your analytic journey? (Bernard and Malcolm Moore)
- Analytic Advocate powerpoint deck
- Workflow survey and assessment – where are the roadblocks, challenges in current workflow?
- Manager dashboard (red triangle) - paint the picture of success, making connection between users work and business objectives/goals (Hyde, Dieter, Dan)
- Analytics Advocate workshops
- Analytics Advocate presentations/discussions at Discovery (Sarah Springer, Biljana Besker, Katie Stone)
- Analytics Advocate user groups (Robin Moran)

- List of common uses cases, metrics of success for analytic growth

Have something similar to what is listed above or would like to help in the creation of a specific item? Please post a comment below or email Sara Doudt by November 15, 2021.

resourcesTrainingRe: Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback@dara_hammond @Peter_Hersh @wendytseng - Yes, exactly Dara. Currently, updating the SAS LNA to be JMP specific with Ledi, Ruth and Jess Marquardt. Hope to have something out soon!
Re: Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback@wendytseng SAS Edu had worked on Learning Needs Assessments with customers of ours. I'm not certain the status of those, or future of those, but if they're able to share an example it may at least give her an idea. Perhaps connect with Lynn Page in SAS Edu for a more in depth conversation on it.
Re: Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback@wendytseng that is a great idea. As far as I know, we have not had a customer do that type of internal assessment.
Re: Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback@wendytseng - love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
Re: Analytics Advocate Guide: Share Your Feedback@saradoudt I have an advocate who is interested in conducting a survey in her organization to get some metrics around analytical maturity and/or data analysis efficiency. She is interested in getting some baseline statistics on where her organization is with respect to using data for decision making (primarily metrics on time spent to drive to results because those are easier to quantify). Do we have a survey we can share with her as a starting place? She would like to use it as a starting place. Thank you!
@Peter_Hersh and @dara_hammond Curious if you have any customers that have done surveys like this?
