What inspired this Wish List Request?
A conversation with Julian and Mia at Discovery 2022. We discussed the future of Workflow Builder and guessed that it would have many more uses than we could think of at the moment. This idea is one I've had since the discussion.
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
At some regular interval, JMP should parse the action register* and look for repeated steps. JMP then creates and suggests Workflow(s) that have been recognized as done regularly by the user. The user then accepts the useful Workflows which are then saved by JMP to the user's computer.
*Log would need to be saved across sessions for this to work, and there are likely privacy concerns that should be addressed (opt-in, log not shared with JMP or others, etc.)
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The assumption is that the Workflow Builder will provide simple automation for users, but this assumption only works right now if the user creates a Workflow. Having JMP create Workflows automatically will help users a) save time by accepting pre-built workflows and b) see how the Workflow Builder will save them even more time if they actively use it.
Is this an external customer request?
No
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
No, but other software areas already suggest routines for users to adopt (google/android for example)
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
I believe it makes JMP stickier, but it doesn't directly impact other metrics.
