Top Social Media Tips & Tricks for 2023
Social Media is an ever-evolving space that requires careful consideration to do it well! We, your JMP communications team, are here to offer some insights and advice on how to use social media to advance your business relationships and better engage with your colleagues, users, and online networks.
LinkedIn is the best place to engage with your company, colleagues, users, and prospects.
What is the purpose of having a LinkedIn account? The platform now has more than 875 million users across the globe and is used for much more than just professional networking. It is not only the most used site for recruiting people to new positions and the top platform for B2B lead generation - LinkedIn has also become the place where people go to stay on top of industry trends and learn valuable content related to their field. Use your presence on LinkedIn to establish yourself as accessible, knowledgeable, and personable. Create a posting plan and stick to it.
Post consistently to your page - at least 1-2x per week. The LinkedIn Algorithm is a beast to figure out, but here are some of the best practices to create high-quality posts in 2023. - Post at a time when you know your followers are online (early to middle of the workday tends to drive the most engagement).
- Engage with the people in your network (respond to comments on your posts).
- Post content that drives engagement - pose a question or a prompt.
- Post at regular intervals.
Use your platform as a way for people to get to know you and establish yourself as an expert.
Struggling with knowing what to post? Here are some ideas to get you going.
- Share answers to common questions from users.
- Share something that inspired you recently (maybe it was a tweet? a text from a friend? a quote from a book?)
- Share your reaction to trending industry topics or upcoming events you're excited to attend (and why)!
- Create and share graphics using JMP
- Spotlight how JMP's users are using our products (check out @Meg_Hermes' database of User Success stories).
- Share personal highlights - big news in your career, family, etc.
- Share what you love about your job and where you work, and tag @JMP so we can see it (using the #JMPLife hashtag, of course)!
