Larry with his wife Melanie on a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, in 2022 - 20 years in the making!Meet JMP Global Content Marketing Strategist Larry LaRusso (@Larry_LaRusso)! A member of our JMP family since 2019, Larry is a joyful and loud (in a good way) force of nature within JMP's Cary office. Any given lunch hour, you will likely find him organizing a pickup game of volleyball/dodgeball/basketball with his co-workers. When not at work, you can find Larry cheering on the Carolina Tar Heels or Buffalo Bills, or hanging out with his awesome family!
Let's learn a little more about Larry.
Where were you born?
Depew, New York (a suburb of Buffalo)
What was your first job?
I remember doing chores for a dime a week allowance. (Yes, I’m old, but a dime a week was nothing! But it did buy me a pack of football cards every week, so I was happy with it and don’t remember ever asking for a raise.) My first real job was as a cashier at Harris Teeter which I had all through high school.
In one word, what's the best thing about your current job?
Larry's extended Family at an NCSU-Clemson game 2021. Larry is a UNC Tarheel fan ("I felt like a fraud, a Tar Heel wearing red!")
Variety
List three of your favorite hobbies.
I love playing sports (pretty much anything that makes you sweat), coaching (dozens of teams, genders, and ages – love them all), and reading (mostly history)
Describe yourself in three words.
Friendly, Enthusiastic and LOUD (smile).
Name one thing most of your colleagues would be surprised to know.
I'm betting most JMPers don’t know that I have an identical twin brother who lives in Mooresville, NC.
What book are you reading?
Two right now: Hard Work (Roy Williams’s biography) and The Closer (Mariano Rivera’s biography)
Larry's children Olivia, Matthew and Mallory.
What is your favorite movie genre?
I like movies based on real events, but I’ll pretty much watch anything.
What is the first web page you go to when you start work?
Inside JMP, of course!
If you could have a dinner party with five famous people, who would they be?
Marv Levy, Barack Obama, Will Ferrell, Andy Griffith, Hubert Davis
What is your favorite podcast to listen to?
Currently binging Gone South, but I listen to a lot of sports podcasts too - this time of year around the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

There are so many individuals at JMP worth mentioning here; it's almost unfair. Forced to choose one, I’ll go with Amy Bullock. Amy is a talented marketer who juggles a lot of projects, many of critical importance to our success. Regardless of how busy she is, though, she is one of the kindest, friendliest people you’ll ever meet.
