Chris Shields joins the JMP Digital Operations team as a Senior IT Program Manager where he will help guide development
projects within Digital Operations, as well as across JMP. He will assist in gathering business requirements, prioritizing development work, and developing product roadmaps for the various systems supported by Digital Operations.
Chris comes to JMP from SAS where he was a Senior Digital Marketing Manager for the past 15 years. In that role, he served as the product owner for the Adobe Experience Manager web content management system used to support sas.com as well as jmp.com and other SAS web properties. Chris has been with SAS since 1999, except for a one-year stint as an Online Marketing Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2006-2007. Prior to his work at SAS, he worked at RTI International as a Geographical Information System Specialist for nearly five years. Chris is a graduate of Cornell University.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, yoga, snowboarding, and taking in live music. His daughter Ella is in graduate school studying Occupational Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His son Grant recently graduated from Appalachian State University and lives in Salt Lake City, UT. Chris lives in Chapel Hill with his rowdy Treeing Walker Coonhound named Oscar.
