Procter & Gamble (P&G), a multinational consumer goods corporation, has been a long-standing customer of JMP, with most users being in their research and development division. With the end goal of expanding the P&G JMP user base, over the last six months, the Global Premier Team* has worked with P&G users worldwide and identified interest from users outside of the traditional R&D space.
P&G has long felt a total employee license agreement was too much of a price increase. So, when the enterprise license agreement (ELA) model was released as an option in June 2022, the Global Premier Team shared the value this could add. P&G agreed that it made fiscal sense based on the expected trajectory of their renewal over the next few years.
This interest, along with identified use cases in JMP® Live and a company-wide cloud initiative led P&G to be well-poised for an ELA, which would give them access to JMP in the Cloud and JMP Live, and expand their user base outside of R&D.
While the ELA products are a strong fit to meet P&G’s evolving needs, the ELA also makes for easier deployment – not having to track users, more flexibility in deployment, and pricing predictability was important to them. All of this led to an agreement that an ELA was the best path forward to continue the relationship between JMP and P&G.
The ELA is of benefit to JMP as it continues to secure the long-term relationship with P&G and allows JMP to align with its cloud strategy and collaborate more efficiently globally through JMP Live. It also gives the opportunity for more users to access JMP in new areas of the organization with ease.
The continued partnership includes upskilling new users and supporting the use of JMP Live and JMP for the Cloud.

It was perfect timing to come together and showcase JMP® Pro 17, get users excited, and begin to discuss with the executive leadership team the future of our relationship.
It was evident at the JMP Day that the relationship between P&G and JMP is a true partnership. “Procter & Gamble took tremendous ownership over the sessions and their users, in some cases, presented jointly with JMP Staff,” Account Executive Sarah Springer said. “The engineering trainer called JMP Pro 17 ‘untouchable by other software’ after seeing keynote presentations by John Sall, Mandy Chambers, and Bill Worley. Our advocates presented a strong potential use case for JMP Live to the R&D leadership team.”
“Going into the signing of the ELA, it was a great springboard to bring excitement and momentum into 2023,” Walker said.
Special thanks to Senior Systems Engineer Peter Hersh who was instrumental in determining the agenda and content of the JMP Day, as well as Principal Systems Engineer Chris Kirchberg, Principal Systems Engineer Don McCormack, Principal Test Engineer Mandy Chambers and Founder and Chair of JMP Statistical Discovery LLC John Sall for supporting the JMP Day.

Fantastic success story, thank you for sharing this! From the industry perspective, the R&D partnership is so vital in terms of driving the success of the organization. From the Tech Support side, it's also clear from P&G's persistent engagement and the depth of their questions that they are our technical partner and a key player in driving meaningful improvements to our software.
