DOE: Reduced Scheffe CubicA customer (BASF) asked if there is an easy way to change from the default Scheffe Cubic model to the special scheffe cubic mobel
https://bookdown.org/gerhard_krennrich/doe_and_optimization/

(or Modell 6.10 on page 125 ff.in Goos & Jones, Optimal Design of Experiments).
This can be done by DOE experts manually but usually not by the scientist which just use the Scheffe Cubic provided.
Question: Is there a way to handle this easier or is it planned to add the reduced/special scheffe cubic model as an option in the model selection of the custom designer?
thx, Martin
Re: DOE: Reduced Scheffe CubicHi @martindemel ,
I think that you just need to add the 2nd and 3rd Interactions to get the special cubic model.

I suppose that is not really easy to do. But I suspect that if someone is designing a mixture experiment to estimate a special Scheffe cubic model then they are not a basic user of JMP.
I hope that helps,
Phil
Re: DOE: Reduced Scheffe CubicI guess you could add to the wish list a request for a button for "Special Cubic" when mixture factors are present. I imagine that would be a simple addition.
Re: DOE: Reduced Scheffe CubicHi @Phil_Kay
I believe a wish list item will be the best for this customer. The request comes from an expert, but they want their engineers to use it as well, and they often just press the Scheffe Cubic button what they do not want to have them do. I will talk to them. Thx!
