Re: Close/Lock old ThreadsI think it would be a good idea to prevent normal users from resurrecting old (resolved only?) threads as most of the time questions seem to be quite un-relevant to the original question and it would be better if new question was asked (and maybe linked to the old post).
Close/Lock old ThreadsI wonder if posts should be automatically closed after some period of time, maybe 3-6 months, to reduce how often people ask unrelated questions by replying to old posts.
I am torn on this because sometimes it is good to update old posts, and sometimes questions really do further the initial question, but I think more often the question and answer become lost and nobody else is likely to find them again. What if only JMP employees and people with a level over X had access to reply to old posts?
