No matter what you do for JMP or where you are located, we hope you’ll connect and be a part of Discovery Summit Europe.
Why? Because we all have a role to play in our premier event series.
Discoveries can’t be successful without help from JMPers in R&D, Sales, Global Marketing, Field Marketing, User Enablement and Legal, just to name a few groups. When the events are online, even employees without scheduled support roles can participate by being good hosts.
Discoveries are also a great way to sharpen your JMP skills, expand your knowledge of JMP use within different industries, connect with employees and customers you haven’t seen in a long time.
Another great reason: More people experiencing that brilliant content and witnessing the witty exchanges means that more people can spread the word about this very important conference series.
Finally: We’re experimenting with different formats and schedules and even platforms. We want to hear what worked for you, where you saw users struggling, and where things just clicked. These are lessons we can use to make each event better than the one before, no matter where in the world it is.
Please be aware that event organizers assume that if you can't find the time to log in and participate when it's online, you certainly couldn't find the time to travel to participate in an in-person Special Segment.
Where is it and how do you join?
Like all of our online Discovery Summits, this one has a virtual conference center. You should have received an email inviting you to attend. It would have come from Discovery-Europe@jmp.com. Here are a few things to do as soon as you go there:
- First, be sure that you can log in.
- Upload a photo of yourself, so that other conference attendees can put a face to your name.
- There’s a lot on the agenda, so be sure to add everything you want to see to your schedule.
- Familiarize yourself with the platform. Dig around. Explore. Participate.
- If you can’t get in, feel free to Email us any time. And Live Chat is available from 10:00 to 18:00 CET on each event day.
Opening Day: 08 March and International Women’s Day
The first day of Discovery Summit Europe is behind us. On Tuesday, 08 March, we launched the virtual event with a keynote by London-based mathematician Hannah Fry and several interactive sessions where attendees drove the content. Because Fry let the audience select the topics she covered, you could say the entire day was user driven.
Second Day: 10 March and early Pi Day
The second day features a keynote from our own John Sall. It is also a day of simu-live paper presentations...something you need to experience if you haven’t already. We’ll also be acknowledging Pi Day a bit early, so you won’t’ want to miss that sweet celebration featuring a pie cooking demonstration. Even if you don’t normally celebrate, who doesn’t love an excuse to eat pie? Here’s the list of ingredients if you'd like to cook along.
Third Day: 22 March is World Water Day
We couldn’t hold an event on World Water Day without a special guest. And he is very special indeed. He's even been described as the "Mr. Rogers of the sea." See for yourself on World Water Day. Of course, other interactive, informative and even entertaining activities are scheduled for the day.
Closing Day: 24 March
This is the day we put several JMP users in the spotlight and get them to tell the stories of their analytic journeys. If you’re in sales or marketing or any part of JMP, you’ll want to hear what they have to say about where they are in their journeys and how they got there. And this will be the last chance for simu-live paper presentations, for Meet the Experts as well as Birds of a Feather sessions.
And we couldn’t close the conference without setting our sights on Sitges...the site of next year’s in-person Special Segment of Discovery Summit Europe.
Content lives in the Community
Before, during and after every Discovery Summit, we put as much of the content online to encourage continued learning. Explore the Discovery page in the Community. For this event, we’re posting presentations in the Communityas they are available...assuming we have permissions to do so.
That works, @Diana_Levey . I did also find it from the Agenda listing. Not sure why the link in the article text didn't work.
Thanks!
I can't get the link to the list of ingredients to work, either as is linked in this article or from the Discovery email that was sent this morning (presumably to all registrants). I've tried a couple different browsers, and I get something similar to:
