Hi @MikeD_Anderson, thank you for your suggestion! We have captured your request and will take it under consideration.
FYI @MikeD_Anderson, 3*StdDev and Mean +/- 3*StdDev have been added to the Distribution platform in JMP 17.

@mia_stephens perfect, I'll pass that along to the customers! The Corning people were wanting them specifically in Analyze > Tabulate and in the Tables > Summary platforms. I got almost identical requests for the CI's and 3StdDev's from every site I visited. So, it's definitely on their minds.
What inspired this Wish List Request?
This was a frequent request during a series of on-site visits demonstrating the Pack Columns feature for Tabulate
Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see.
Add the following summary statistics to the Tabulate (and probably Summary) platforms:
- 3xStd Dev (3 times the calculated standard deviation)
- Confidence Intervals (assume normal distribution and prompt for confidence level as the Quantiles stat does)
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?
The Pack column feature creates the need itself. There isn't a way to add custom summary stats to Summarize or Tabulate. Given that you can easily create a table with std dev and range, the other common summaries of dispersion are glaring omissions.
Is this an external customer request?
Corning - the request was made by participants at the Decker building (corporate excellence and training), Erwin (Manufacturing and environmental statistics), and Sullivan Park (R&D and pilot manufacturing).
Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of?
n/a
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
Admittedly, this is a minor request. However, the goodwill and trust we will earn by filling the request will be invaluable in supporting future expansion.
Thanks @MikeD_Anderson , we've had this request in the past. Have added the additional info to the Jira.
