Merging of columns (assignment) in need of a little help

Hey, 

I have this exam assignment, which is is nearly done but i'm stuck with the assumption "rule of five" regarding the contingency table. 

Below I will attach some jmp output and in detail explain what the end goal is - if you're able to help I would really appreciate it. 

So I have the following variables Y: K_TopThird and X: F_Male.

K_TopThird is an ordinal variabel but i changed it to nomiel as I remember it won't affect the test, right?
The variable explains if you're between the top 3 best student, whereas F_Male is a dummy where 1 is male and 0 is female. 

 

My question is: how to I merge F_Male or K_TopThird so that my expected values equals 5 or more?
I'm lost ... and our teacher did not explain us how to do so .. Can anyone pedagogical explain what to tap and so on to ?

I believe the easiest way to accomplish this, is to use "Recode".  In the Data Table window, right click on the column header for F_Male and select "Recode".

You will be able to then combine the values of F_Male.  Then when you rerun the Contingency table, you will be able to see if the new groupings have Expected Cell Values are above 5.
