Welcome Monique Roerdink Lander

Monique Roerdink Lander joins JMP as a Systems Engineer.

Title: Systems Engineer
Manager: Nicholas Shelton (@nick_shelton)
Region: Americas (Central)
Start Date: Nov. 1, 2022
LinkedIn profile.

Monique Roerdink Lander (@monique_lander) received her chemistry degree and her Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Technology of Polymers in the Netherlands where she was born and raised. To see more of the world, she did postdoctoral research in Minneapolis as well as in Copenhagen, Denmark, and then moved back again to Minnesota where, believe it or not, it feels less cold in the winter compared to Denmark. “Certainly, the Minnesota snow makes winters kind of fun,” she said.

Monique worked in the chemical industry for 11 years in product formulation and development as a research scientist. After being introduced to JMP by a raw material vendor, she spent more time in JMP and tried to convince others to do the same. She is very excited to now be a part of the JMP team.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and sons (6 and 9), doing judo as a family, training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, going on hikes in the mountains, reading fantasy books, and, true to her roots, making soap in her laundry room lab (providing an excellent opportunity for design of experiments!).
