[Presentation overview]
For a long time, design without input factors (static characteristics design) was performed, and recently linear design with input factors (dynamic characteristics) was also performed, expanding the scope of design. From now on, the design that handles nonlinear functions of second or higher order (design of advanced dynamic characteristics) will be important. However, the design of nonlinear functions cannot be treated as an extension of the design of linear equations (linear functions). This is because we have to deal with extreme values (maximum and minimum values) that are not in the linear equation. Super-design is a design method that solves this problem. In this research, we take up the case of quadratic equations and introduce an education that makes it easy to learn superdesign using JMP. Experiments are performed under custom designs, and optimization can be easily performed by even beginners by using satisfaction profiles. As a teaching material, an easy-to-understand flying ball simulator is used.
[Profile of the presenter]
Joined Yokogawa Electric in 1984. Responsible for research and development of in-house silicon semiconductor device processes. After that, he was in charge of a wide range of tasks, from research and prototyping and line design for device manufacturing, to installation of manufacturing equipment and factory equipment, to maintenance and management. At the same time, we will promote the use of production control technology, especially statistical quality control (SQC), such as quality control of products, processes and equipment, quality improvement, cost reduction, and delivery shortening. In addition, I was seconded to a major semiconductor device manufacturer for one year, and used management tools such as statistical analysis and Six Sigma in collaborative projects. Around this time, we will actively announce the results of our activities outside the company. Presented TQM at ICQ'14 Tokyo, an international quality conference held in September 2014. After that, he left Yokogawa Electric in March 2015. In April of the same year, he entered the doctoral course of the Graduate School of Business Administration, Mejiro University. Presented SQC and optimization at ANQ Congress 2015 Taipei in September 2015, ANQ Congress 2016 Vladivostok in September 2016, and SAS Discovery Summit in November of the same year.
