“Over those 20 odd years there have been some years when I achieved my target and some years when I have not. I was trying to think through the difference between the years where I do well and the years where I’ve done OK and the years where I have not done so well.
“One of the key differences has been quality of conversation…and in many cases it's luck, it’s experience, it’s the ability to get into quality of conversations, it's also volume of conversations.”
