Hi @naohiro_masu, thank you for your suggestion! We have captured your request and will take it under consideration. Also, next time please use the wish template that is available on the internal wish list page.  It helps us get all of the information we need to prioritize a request efficiently. Sometimes we are forced to deprioritize a request that doesn't use the template, because of the sheer volume of wishes that come in. Thank you and let me know if you have any questions!

@naohiro_masu we are looking into this.  There have been previous request for this.  In JMP 17 we added two new effect size estimates (eta^2 and omega^2)  in Fit Model, as hidden column under the effect estimates.  These are described in http://daniellakens.blogspot.com/2015/06/why-you-should-use-omega-squared.html (note this article recommends using omega^2).

Calculate Cohen's d Effect size.

Request: Calculate Cohen's d as the effect size for two sample t-test.

Request From:  Kyoto Univ, Chiba Univ, Juntendo Univ etc.  Mostly who use JMP for writing medical paper.

In JMP 17, some effect sizes (Eta Squared and Omega Squared) can be calculated, and in addition, they would like to calculate Cohen's d as effect size for two sample t-test.

The calculation is so simple and can be calculated with the following add-in, however it would be appreciated if you could add it for like Fit y by X (Onaway) Platform.

 In recent years, it seems that when writing medical papers, it is necessary to calculate the effect size as well as the p-value. When I received a request from a customer, I also informed him of my own calculations, as JMP is not able to calculate them.

@SamGardner, @Sarah-Sylvestre,  Thank you for reply.  I am glad to hear that there are plans to add Cohen's d test to JMP 18!  I will use the wish template next time.
