Jonny Nunez (@Jonathan-Nunez) joins JMP as the Central subregion Overlay from CData Software where he managed commercial OEM partnerships.
Jonny's manager asked him a few questions for you to get to know him better. His answers are below.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born in Raleigh, NC and grew up all around the triangle, but lived mostly in Durham, NC.
2. Do you have any pets?
I used to have a rabbit! These days it’s just my girlfriend’s cat that I consider half mine. :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:
3. Are you reading anything right now?
I am starting to read this book called Game of Sales by David Perry. It is about the lessons learned by an ex-enterprise tech sales exec at Adobe, Amazon, Google, and IBM.
4. Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
I prefer the beach to the mountains unless you are so far up the mountain that you can ski/snowboard, then I prefer the mountains!
5. How do you like to start your day?
I start my day with a shower, stretches, and a cup of coffee. Ideally, I like to get some raw sunlight as well. I aim to start including a run or a swim in this routine.
6. Can you speak more than one language?
English is my primary language and Spanish is my secondary language; I am conversationally fluent in Spanish.
7. What’s one TV show you never get tired of watching?
I don’t like rewatching shows very much, but my favorite show at the moment is House of the Dragon!
8. What’s your ideal way to spend a weekend?
On the weekends I Ideally like to spend one evening with close friends, one evening with my girlfriend, and one evening alone. When I am with people, I like to play pool and cards, cook, see live music, or go out for a nice cocktail. When I am alone, I like to watch shows, read, and play games. It’s important to me to keep in touch with people and have fun, but I also value my alone time very much. Over time I have learned that I am naturally an extroverted introvert rather than a pure extrovert.
9. Fun fact about you?
I used to be a DJ in college! I am working on starting to get back into that in Raleigh.
10. Why are you excited about joining JMP?
I am excited to work for a growing company that sells a product in the analytics space. The things I have seen from the culture, management, and product so far continue to excite me more and more every day!
