Regional JMP Users Groups meetings are back in action, live and in person, across Europe.
“There’s a pent-up demand for users to see each other in person,” said Todd Hoffman (@ToddHoffman), Senior Director of EMEA Sales and Marketing.
Over the past several weeks, JMP EMEA has hosted five users group meetings, giving customers the opportunity to connect and learn from each other in person. And they are thrilled.
Marketing Manager Nina Chan (@nina_chan) remarked, “I think this comment by this customer on LinkedIn says it all”:

“It was the users who made the meetings really good,” said Maria Astals Seres (@maria_astals), User Enablement. “They were there to talk to one another; we built in a lot of time for them to connect.”
“For me it was the first time I actually met customers and got to hear them and talk to them one-on-one in the breaks,” said Michael Schmidt (@Michael-Schmidt), EMEA marketing. “It blew my mind how much they are ambassadors for the product.
“I was in a room with 20-25 people telling each other how great JMP is.”
French JMP Users Group
Held at Microchip Rousset with nearly 50 attendees (excluding JMP employees), the French Users Group meeting “was just fantastic in terms of organization, interaction, customer engagement, relationship and business development,” shared Senior Account Executive Isabellel Swaenopoel (@isabelleswaenep).
“The outcome was impressive, and our customer posted on LinkedIn their real happiness,” she added. The CEO of Microchip even mentioned that “he never saw a family like the JMP users.”

Isabelle reports the following business opportunities:
One SSO on JMP Pro
Three SSO with JMP upgrade

DACH Users Group
The DACH meeting took place in the SAS office in beautiful Heidelberg.
“Everybody was so happy to meet again in-person and you could feel the enthusiasm in the room,” said Nina. “It was great to see our customers networking over lunch and coffee. It was a perfect mix of experienced users and new users and they all got so much out of it.”

Nordic Users Group
“What do the fishing, pharma and semiconductor industries have in common?” Maria Astals Seres asked her LinkedIn network. “They all use JMP for their data discovery!”
People from many industries traveled from Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden for the Nordics Users Group meeting. Nordics AE Marija Lind (@MarijaLind) thanked them for “flying in, driving, cycling or walking to the event!”
She added that there were “great presentations, talks and discussions. Thank you all for being a part of it. I am looking forward to collaboration, long lasting relationships and mutual success.”
The meeting, held at the SAS office in Copenhagen, featured presenters from Aker BioMarine, Murata and NNE. Patrick Galler, QC Manager of Data and Analytics at Aker BioMarine, shared on LinkedIn: “Thanks for hosting a most enjoyable event with excellent people, providing tons of inspiration for the next steps.”

UK Users Group
Hosted at Imperial College London, the UK Users Group meeting featured speakers from AstraZeneca, Johnson Matthey, University of Manchester, Imperial College London, Xaar and, of course, JMP.
Some customers, like the Head of Viral Vector Application Research at Albumedix, were star-struck by JMP experts.
“Today at the UK JMP Users Group Meeting at Imperial College London, it was my pleasure to meet several creative minds in the biotech field,” Asaduzzaman Forazi wrote on LinkedIn. “And it has been long due to meet DOE guru Phil Kay (@Phil_Kay), and I am happy it happened today.”

Nicole Mastrell (@NicoleMastrell), who is relatively new to the EMEA marketing team, joked “today I conquered the challenges of the tube to attend the JMP Users Group meeting at Imperial College. It was the first time I got to meet with the JMP users, and I was really impressed with how enthusiastically the community shared their knowledge and experience.”
She went on to share a quote from one of the industry presenters: “JMP, the user community and all the resources available online helped me become a better scientist.”
Benelux Users Group

Last stop was the very first Benelux Users Group Meeting, where people from more than 10 nationalities met at the SAS office with the same objective: To connect with other JMP users and find inspiration. Speakers came from Shell, JMP and MSD, among others.
The users group meetings generated lots of excitement for people to get together again at Discovery Summit Europe in Sitges next March. In the meantime, they will engage in continued conversations in User Community https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Users-Groups-in-Europe/ct-p/europe-jugs
