What inspired this Wish List Request?
"We had talked briefly regarding additional preprocessing techniques it may be useful to have available. One I would recommend is a polynomial baseline correction known as Detrending. There is a paper by Barnes et al. that outlines this technique. It is not as common of a technique, but still can be very useful as it can remove non-linear trends similar to a sloping baseline correction. The primary use is as a mitigation of curvature prevalent in NIRS data for densely packed powders. See below for the original paper outlining this technique."

Please describe the new or improved feature or solution you would like to see. The description can be found in the original paper, but this will be a good technique for deconvolution of packed powders which are often found in pharma.
What would the value be to you and/or other users if this new feature is provided?

Is there a competitive software package that has this feature or solution that we should be aware of? Not that I am aware of.
Will this impact a renewal, expansion, or adoption at a customer, and does this put an account at risk if we do not address this?
