JMP handle Consumer Survey Files that have hierarchy (Diary)

 

Some questions are asked once like "What is your name?" and "How old are you?" Some questions are asked in a loop like "Did the diaper leak (Y/N)?"

so I have a file that is

 

Mike, 21, No

Mike, 21, Yes
Mike, 21, No
Diane, 16, Yes

Cy, 57, No
Cy, 57, Yes
Cy, 57, Yes
Cy, 57, No

 

If one calculate the average age of the parent then I will get the wrong answer in categorical. If I calculate the number of leaking diapers then I will get the right answer.
