I would like to see something like the Ignore Platform Preferences message that could apply to an entire script - this would be something that would be run as one of the first lines of a script (similar to Names Default to Here).
While we're at it, I'd also like to see something where messages like Get Data Type or Get Modeling Type that can answer in JSL in the user's local language could be easily forced with a single line at the start of a script to also answer in English. I know this can be done on each individual call, just like Ignore Platform Preferences can, but would prefer to see the ability to require it throughout an entire script.
I know you can save the user's Platform Preferences, then reset all of them, run the script, and restore the user's preferences. However, doing this could lose the user's preferences if for any reason the script terminates early (e.g., due to error).
