When multiple columns are put on one axis the default axis scaling should default to Parallel Merged instead of Auto. This would make the creation of mutiple box plots more intuitive.
The current default, Auto, attempts to make columns with large differences in the ranges of the columns more useful by using Parallel Merged. While this does resolve the issue of ranges it can make comparing box plots more difficult.

Original Title: Graph Builder of Multiple Box Plots at Once
Hi -
Brady Brady has an excellent post on how to do this: https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Fast-Boxplots/ta-p/114316
However, I think it is really non-intuitive to default to Parallel Coordinates, especially without activating the Parallel Coordinates icon at the right of the icon bar above the Graph Builder.
Any consideration to reversing this default of what happens when multiple variables are put into the same axis, or adding some sort of preference somewhere?
We are working on this for JMP 17.
