Peter’s Technical Issue:
I have 18 rows and 207 columns. These are spectra basically and am using PLS to fit an output to spectra responses (think chemometrics). I’ve saved the prediction formula and re-created the profiler with Graph Profiler. There are over 100 inputs in the model with each being a spectra response at a certain condition. I’m trying to share a profiler via interactive html with the team. There’s >100 inputs though and is saying the html is not interactive. I did a sanity check and tried with 5 inputs, and this worked. Is there a limit on the number of inputs for interactive html? And if there is, do you a known work around?
Issue Importance:
Chevron, like many CPG, Chemical and Oil/Gas customers (especially those moving toward using Interactive HTML in JMP Live, want to interactively share big models (like showing a full range of spectra data parameters) in the Profiler. Right now there is a point (probably performance related) at which even if you request an Interactive HTML Profiler, you will instead get a static (partially implemented) one with little alert to the JMP user (outside of maybe noticing the patrial implemented words in the dialog).
Scott’s Issue Replication:
Scott and Peter replicated this behavior using “Gasoline Octane NIR” jmp spectra data (60 roes x 401 columns). Created standard PLS Model Profilers using 25, 50, 75, 90, 100 and 401 parameters (columns). Only could export Interactive HTML Profilers up to 90 parameters (although the more parameters the slower the interaction with parameter settings). Got statistic (partially implemented) HTML Profilers for 100 and above parameters. Due to system performance and file size that it takes to create the Interactive HTML Profiler. See “Interactive HTML 5 Report – Data Size Limits” Q&A by John Powell: https://community.jmp.com/t5/Discussions/Interactive-HTML-Report-data-size-limits/td-p/241431
Work Arounds Discussed:
* Short Term: Use fewer (most representative) parameters to allow for a responsive Interactive HTML Profiler.
* Note that this worked for Peter as a short term fixed when dropped to 65 parameters
* Short Term: Also recommended other JMP (PCA) and JMP Pro (FDE) multivariate methods to find the most representative parameters from natural groups to use in the PLS Model Profiler.
* Long Term: Recommend in JMP Wish List and Technical Track the ability to get more capability for Interactive HTML Profilers to handle larger data sets (as would be typical for sharing a range of spectra and other many parameter data)
