Color out of spec dataIt would be nice to have the ability to keep cells in the data table colored that are out of the spec range (as part of the Spec Limits property, perhaps?). We should also have the ability to specify the cell colors used.
Currently you can do something close with a custom color gradient. See Color cells based on multiple conditions.

Re: Color out of spec dataYes, please.
Re: Color out of spec dataThanks, Michael.
So, to clarify, you want a mechanism to keep cells colored by in-spec/out-of-spec continuously, and to be able to set the colors used.
Re: Color out of spec dataHi Jeff,
I like this new tool, but it doesn't address the root issues I was getting at with my original request or my follow-up (that the Process Capability platform does something similar).
Both Manage Spec Limits and Process Capability platforms leave the user stuck with the color choices of red for violating LSL and blue for violating USL (not customizable). Also the colorizing operation still seems to be a one-time process; it has to be repeated if I add more rows of data to the table or if I correct a typo or similar.
Re: Color out of spec data - Status changed to: DeliveredColoring cells for out of spec data is a part of the Manage Spec Limits utility in JMP 15. Selecting the cells as well will come in JMP 16.
Re: Color out of spec dataTechnical Support also points out that the Process Capability platform has a mechanism to color cells in the data table when spec limits are violated, but this is a one-time coloring (if the data change or if we add more data to a table, the colors are not updated) and the colors are hard coded, blue for violating upper spec and red for violating lower spec. I still think additional functionality in the Spec Limits column property would be more valuable.
