Re: Refresh JMP's Annotation Tools - Status changed to: NewCan you share who the customer is? Thanks.
Re: Refresh JMP's Annotation ToolsOver the past 7 years... Corning, Regeneron, Globalfoundries, Celgene (now BMS), come to mind. Oodles of smaller accounts. This latest iteration of the request came from a CRO called iFyber that's been growing this year.
The TL;DR is anyone that has asked about annotating graphs generally comes back with "that's really clunky-looking."
Refresh JMP's Annotation ToolsI got some customer feedback on our annotation tools (Tools > Annotate, Line, etc...) that I wanted to document.

I've had these comment a few times - that they need a refresh. Some things that come up are:
1. The Arrow tool needs to be better. It's currently just 3 lines. I'm just using a convenient screen grab from powerpoint for this, but most systems offer more nicely formatted arrows that we do at the moment:

2. We need a bracket end for our line tool as well. This came up recently when a customer was trying to replicate a graph with the bracket annotations shown below. This can be done in JMP, but requires 3 lines and an annotate per bracket.

3. The Annotate tool doesn't give access to justification options for fonts (at least on MacOS). It's capabilities need to be aligned with the text box options available elsewhere in the software.
