JMP extracts too many latent factors in PLS

Number of Latent Factors extracted by JMP is in almost all cases higher than number of Latent Factors extracted by SIMCA. There is a potential risk of overfitting the models. Usually models with a lower number of Latent Factors have similar predictive capability.
