At a new in JMP 14 event, a customer asked if the new natural sort order could be undone. The only way I could think of is to sort the table and set the column property for row sort order. Is there another way?
Hi @HydeMiller,
There is no global preference that can be set to disable the natural sort, but if you must, you can prepend a column with a character (for instance, a period), and jmp won't apply the new sort style to the column levels. I've attached a dataset with that example.

Unfortunately, Summary and Summarize now also appear to use the natural sort order. So, the only way I can think of to do this without a sort and without changing the data itself, or creating a new column, is with value ordering populated by associative array keys (which are still sorted lexicographically).
For example, using the LotAxisExample.jmp table in the starter (workflow improvements section):
dt = Current Data Table(); ord = (associative array(dt:lot << get values))<<get keys; dt:Lot << Set Property("value ordering", ord);
