The JMP Store has generated $1M in sales since it opened in December 2021. Customers are purchasing JMP, and companies are adding additional users independently.
“Even though we’re seeing a lot of personal subscriptions, we’re getting more corporate subscriptions and we see a lot of add-ons happening,” says Falco Kronmüller (@Falco), product owner of the JMP Store. “This means that the clients that initially purchased a corporate subscription are now taking advantage of the ability to add on licenses as they like.”
Several customers have upgraded multiple times – in a couple of cases, as many as 11 times during the subscription lifecycle.
"The availability of corporate subscriptions in the JMP Store is a turning point for us," says Stuart Neighbours (@SNeighbours), Principal Inside Sales Account Representative. "Our customers and prospects are in search of speed and simplicity and this is the most convenient buying process we offer. As a sales rep focused on customer experience, I have found the store (and our digital resources, in general) a great way to help our customers easily discover, try and buy our software online."

“The JMP Store gives customers the opportunity to self-serve. It’s great to see customers already taking advantage of their newfound ability to add and manage licenses as their JMP use grows," says Digital Operations Director John Jones (@JonesieAtJMP).
“However, we recognize the growing pains felt behind the scenes because of our new systems. Our vision is to provide sales with a 360-degree view of their customers’ activities in the store. We’re not there yet – but we will be.
“In the future, we will have a more real-time connection between the store and Salesforce so that once a customer purchases JMP through the store or adds a user to their subscription, the appropriate sales team will know it right away. Longer term, as we begin invoicing customers out of NetSuite, we’ll also be able to surface invoice status within Salesforce so that sales and operations will be aware of which invoices have been paid and which are still outstanding.
“Thank you to everyone behind this initiative for their diligence amidst many simultaneous transition activities, and to everyone impacted by the changes for their patience as we greatly improve our processes, not only for customers, but for our benefit, as well.”
A few things to know
When a customer adds new users during its subscription cycle, the additional licenses are pro-rated until the time of renewal.
With the JMP Store, customers simply acknowledge the terms and conditions – eliminating the need to involve human hours on contracts.
The Digital Operations team continues to fine-tune the behind-the-scenes processes based on monthly sales feedback. “We are very happy to get the feedback from sales and clients because the easier we can make it for folks to buy the software, the smoother the process goes, there is less frustration and less need for support,” says Falco. If you have any feedback, please share it with your manager for continuous improvement.
The iterative improvement will benefit JMP when we roll out the store to other countries. “Suggestions have been implemented so that by the time we expand we won’t need to make these changes multiple times in multiple locations,” Falco explains.
In the future
The JMP Store must be tightly integrated with the rest of our business system architecture.
Our priority is to deliver JMP 17 to customers with My JMP, the new customer portal. Once legacy customers successfully receive JMP 17 through My JMP, then those who purchased subscriptions through the JMP Store will begin to use My JMP, as well.
This December our first corporate subscriptions will renew, and the team is working to ensure that the automated subscription reminders work as expected.
