There is a Docusign agreement that can be sent to your customer. It is a non-negotiable agreement, for a free license to our course materials, that basically says the customer can download powerpoint lecture slides, pdf course notes (combining ppt slides and detailed text and how-to steps), and course data files for any JMP courses that we own. (There are a few courses, developed in the SAS Business Knowledge Series, that are not covered by this agreement.) The customer can use these materials for internal training, and they can adapt the materials, including by adding their own company-specific data examples, or by shortening or expanding sections of the courses, etc. They are restricted from applying our materials to teach other software. The list of courses available is copied below.
If you want to start this licensing process, send an email to Ericka Pirozzi in JMP Legal and let her know you would like to prepare the Course Materials Licensing Agreement for your customer. Send her the following info:
Full company name (including organization type (LLC, Inc., etc.))
Company address
Signatory name
Signatory address
After Ericka receives your request, she will prepare the contract for your customer and send it back to you to send to the customer for signature. You will send that back to Ericka and she will have JMP counter-sign. She will then send the completed agreement back to you and she will copy Monica Beals. Please send Monica the contact info for the person at the customer site who should have access to the materials. Monica will email access to that customer.
Please note that there are two legal agreements that are for similar things, one for STIPS content and the one for the rest of the course materials (non-STIPS). To request the STIPS-related agreement, see this page.
