This past weekend was the first week of NFL pre-season football, which means the start of another season of JMP Fantasy Football is right around the corner. For the past three NFL seasons, JMPers around the division have competed against each other in a JMP-only fantasy football league. In addition to bragging rights for a full year, the winner gets the coveted Aaron Kennedy Trophy - a pretty cool award Ryan DeWitt created for the winner to display in his/her office.
Aaron Kennedy won the league in the inaugural season (2019), with Caleb King coming in 2nd and Kirsten Boyd 3rd. The following year (2020), Andy Zhou went home with the trophy, with Larry LaRusso 2nd and James Koepfler finishing 3rd. Last year (2021), James Koepfler won the league, with Andy Zhou coming in 2nd and Justin Chilton finishing 3rd.
Though football knowledge and a familiarity with top players in the NFL, especially at positions on offense, are pretty critical, JMP has proven pretty helpful in building a competitive team and fielding the right players week in and week out. Here’s just a sampling of posts documenting JMP’s success at analyzing fantasy football data:
Alexa Baltazar created the league in 2019 and after serving two years as commissioner of the league has passed the baton on to me. For the 2022 season, I'd like to expand the league to 16 or 18 teams, which means we may have two to four spots available this year.
If you’re interested in joining the league for this year, please let me know in the comments or with a direct message or email.

Awesome. Looking forward to having you @Peter_Polito. Details to come. Good luck!
Peter Polito = fantasy football mediocrity. I'm in.
Let's go @calking. That first season had a ton of teams, so with a 2nd place finish in your only season, you have established yourself as a team to beat!
After a nice long break, I feel it's time for me to get back in the game ;-). I'm in!
