"SQL Results **.jmp" file created with every SQL query. How to turn off?

I've written a JMP script with multiple SQL queries to our database and handed the script file over to a colleague for him to use.  But when my colleague uses it, the directory holding the script file soon fills up with a series of files, "SQL Results 01.jmp", "SQL Results 02.jmp", etc., one for each query in the script.  On my computer this does not happen.  I've not been able to find a preference file to disable this behavior on my colleague's computer.

How can I turn this off?  Thanks, Jeff

I'm not sure why files are appearing - maybe that's something JMP is doing behind the scenes?  In any event when you close the datasets those files should disappear.  If not you should contact JMP's tech support.

Thanks, but I'm not concerned with closing the table (I already do this), instead I want to prevent the generation of *files* in the directory corresponding to each SQL query.

Once you are finished using the results of a query, you can close the table using close(dt, nosave).  For example:

dbc = create database connection(...);
sql = "SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL";
dt = execute sql(dbc, sql);
// process table
wait(3);
// .
// .
// Done - close the table
close(dt, nosave);
close database connection(dbc);
