The red line in box-cox transformation

I would appreciate it if someone could clarify what the horizontal red line represents on the box-cox transformation plot and how it is calculated.

Looks like that description is missing from JMP 13 and earlier documentation.  Here's a snippet from the "Fitting Linear Models" book in JMP 14 (early adopter version, not publicly available). I assume JMP is ok with sharing this:
