Embed iframe (share.jmp.com)

Eric_Hill

Here is one embedding interactive HTML in an iframe using share.jmp.com:

&amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;gt;Let's see how that looks.&amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;gt; &amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;gt;

Let's see how it looks.

Looks good to me!

Very cool.

Thanks. Almost embarrassingly easy once I realized you could embed an iframe in a community post.

Hi Eric, Dan,

Do you have any instructions for how to do this? I have been trying to embed this...

https://public.jmp.com/packages/UK-Life-Satisfaction-by-area-and-sample-/js-p/5bc9eb788accfd09c81b1e17

... in a blog.

I tried copying the iframe code and using the insert code functionality, </>, in the community platform:

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Phil

I should write something up on this. Here is what I do:

* Copy the iframe code out of JMP Public:

* In your post on the community, switch to HTML view:

and paste in the HTML at an appropriate place.

I do not use the "Insert Code" functionality in in the community. I feel like I tried it and did not have good luck with it.

There was talk months ago about changes being made to the JMP Community to facilitate this embedding, but I don't think that has happened.

I'm going to try to embed your post below:

HTH,

Eric

Thanks, Eric.

That looks good. (I guess I can play around with sizing the report before publishing so that it fits better).

Yes, I think it would be useful to write something up about this. I expect there will be other people wanting to be able to do this.

Thanks again,

Phil

I just went back and hand-edited the code in my comment above to change width from the default of 800 to 1200. That at least allows the iframe to take up the full width of the comment area when the window is wide enough. The layout of discussions in the Community, with the discussion portion having a fixed width limit to allow for the panel of actions to the right, makes it not an ideal embedding platform for JMP Public content.

That works a treat, Eric. I've managed to embed it in my blog post. And I've adjusted the height and width to suit. Quite simple when you know how. Thanks again, Phil.
