Here is a collection of case studies of spectral data. Most of these data sets were taken from here:
http://www.models.life.ku.dk/datasets
There are more available, but this was a good representative sample of the different spectral data types.
Thanks to the development team including Ryan Parker and Jeremy Ash for putting all this together.
What's Available
- HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) example of Olive Oil
- Mass Spectroscopy DOE example
- NIR (Near-infrared Spectroscopy) of Soil
- NIR (Near-infrared Spectroscopy) of Tablets
- NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) example of a Mixture of Solvents
- NMR example of Onion
- NMR example of Wine
- Raman Spectroscopy example of Port Fat
- Raman Spectroscopy example of Tablets
There is also a detailed discussion on three of the case studies: Tablet, Olive Oil, Mixture of Solvents.
Why is this useful?
- The case studies are useful for illustrating JMP's FDE capabilities
- Analyzing spectral data is an important new feature in JMP 17 using wavelets
- The variety of case studies can be selected based on the taxonomy of the customer and the type of spectral data they analyze
